A Lifetime of Loving Dogs

Dogs have been part of my life as long as I can remember.

I grew up in Woodstock, New York, where our home was always filled with dogs. We began with Miniature Schnauzers before falling in love with the Shih Tzu breed, and over the years I have had the privilege of raising, training, and loving over more than a dozen dogs. 

As a little girl I wasn't interested in playing with dolls- I preferred spending every moment with my dogs. I dressed them in my doll clothes, taught them how to walk on their hind legs, and invited them to every one of my tea parties. To me, they were never "just pets." They were family, and that belief has stayed with me throughout my life.

After graduating from college in Manhattan, I spent more than 20 years building a successful career in the fashion industry. My work allowed me to travel the world, but no matter where I went, coming home to my dog was always the best part. 

When I retired from corporate America, I knew I wanted to build something of my own. Inspired by my father, a small business owner, I combined my lifelong love of dogs with my passion for exceptional customer service and created a luxury dog boarding and dog daycare business.

My vision was simple: create a place where dogs are treated like cherished family members-not just boarded while their owners are away.

I wanted to give pet parents complete peace of mind, knowing their dogs were enjoying a vacation of their own in a safe, loving home filled with attention, companionship, and comfort.

Today, that vision continues in Jacksonville, Florida, where I relocated to be closer to family and enjoy the beautiful weather. My home features a peaceful garden setting where small dogs can safely play, relax, and socialize. Every guest enjoys cozy dog beds, soft blankets, personalized attention, and plenty of love-just as they would at home.

Whether your dog is staying overnight, visiting for daycare, my goal is always the same: to provide a safe, comfortable, stress-free experience where every dog feels loved, every owner feels confident, and every tail is wagging.

Safety, Comfort & Daily Routine​

Creating a safe, peaceful environment is my highest priority. Every part of the day is thoughtfully planned so each dog feels secure, relaxed, and well cared for. 

Throughout the day, the dogs enjoy supervised playtime, outdoor breaks in the backyard, and plenty of opportunities to socialize with friends of similar size. After all that fun, everyone settles in for a quiet afternoon rest. 

For nap time and bedtime, each dog relaxes in their own comfortable crate with a soft dog bed, cozy mat, and plush faux fur blanket. The crates provide each dog with a calm, private space to unwind and recharge after a busy day of playing. Soft classical music-including Mozart, Beethoven, and gentle opera-plays during nap time, while soothing bedtime lullabies help create a peaceful atmosphere for a restful night's sleep. 

Mealtimes are also enjoyed individually in each dog's own crate. This allows every guest to eat at their own pace, receive the correct food and any medications, and prevents food guarding or disagreements between dogs. It also lets me carefully monitor each dog's appetite, which is an important part of ensuring their health and well-being.

Unlike a traditional boarding kennel with rows of barking dogs, my home is intentionally calm, quiet, and structured. The dogs quickly settle into the daily routine and many come to see their crate as their own comfortable bedroom-a familiar place where they can relax, rest, and feel secure.

My goal is to provide the perfect balance of supervised play, socialization, rest, and individualized care so every dog enjoys a safe, happy, and stress-free stay.
