About Our Boarding

* What makes your dog boarding experience different?

Our dog boarding experience offers a unique, home-based environment where your pup receives personalized attention, comfort, and care 24 hours a day. Unlike traditional kennels, we provide luxury accommodations, a family-style atmosphere, and plenty of outdoor time in our beautiful gardens. Every dog is treated as an individual and welcomed as part of our family while they are in our care.

* What does a typical day look like for my dog?

Each day is designed around your dog's comfort, happiness, and well-being. Our boarding guests enjoy plenty of outdoor time, supervised play, and opportunities to explore our beautiful outdoor gardens, followed by relaxing indoor nap time to classical music. Dogs spend their days socializing and playing with daycare guests and other boarding dogs while enjoying a safe, enriching, and loving environment.

* Are dogs supervised throughout the day?

Yes. Your dog is supervised, engaged, and cared for throughout their stay. We focus on providing attentive, personalized care by monitoring each dog's needs, comfort level, and routine. Whitney treats every pup like her own, creating a safe, loving, and family-style boarding experience where dogs feel at home.

Preparing for Their Stay

* What should I bring for my dog's stay?

To make your dogs stay as comfortable and stress-free as possible, all you need to bring is your dog's food and leash. We provide the rest, including luxury faux fur blankets, comfortable dog beds, and crates when needed. Our goal is to create a welcoming, home-like environment where your dog can relax and feel at ease.

* What vaccinations are required?

For the safety and health of all of our guests, we require that Bordatella (kennel cough) vaccinations are current. Rabies vaccination is required by law and is typically administered during puppyhood and maintained according to your veterinarian's recommendations. Please provide veterinary records as proof of vaccination prior to your dog's stay.

* Do you accept dogs that need medications or special care?

Yes. We welcome dogs who require routine medications or additional care for ongoing health needs. Whitney has experience administering daily medications, including multiple medications throughout the day when needed, and provides attentive, personalized care for each guest.

To maintain a safe environment for all dogs in our care we are unable to accept dogs with contagious illnesses, dogs experiencing severe pain that may lead to unsafe behavior, or dogs who require end-of-life care. We are happy to discuss your dog's individual needs and determine if our home-based boarding environment is the right fit.

Daycare & Activities

* What is included with your dog daycare services?

Our dog daycare experience includes personalized care and convenient pickup and drop-off within our service area. We make each day enjoyable and stress-free by providing a comfortable home-based environment where your dog can spend the day socializing, relaxing, and enjoying supervised outdoor time.

If your dog has a special lunch routine, you are welcome to provide a meal to be served during daycare hours. We also accommodate dogs who require medication during the day and can administer medications as needed to help maintain their health and routine while they are in our care.

* Do dogs play in groups?

Yes. Dogs are welcome to socialize and participate at their own comfort level. During outdoor time, the group enjoys exploring our beautiful gardens together while each dog chooses the activities they enjoy most. Some dogs love to play, while others prefer to explore, relax in the sunshine, take a nap, or lounge comfortably in the shade.

Our goal is not to force interaction, but to allow each dog to enjoy a calm, enriching daycare experience that matches their personality and energy level.

* How do you handle shy or nervous dogs?

Every dog is invited for a meet-and-greet before being accepted into our dog daycare or boarding services. This allows us to learn about your dog's personality, evaluate their comfort level, and make sure they are a good fit for our pack.

Many shy dogs become more confident with regular visits because they are introduced to the environment gradually in a relaxed, low-stress setting. We take the time to allow each dog to adjust at their own pace.

For the safety and comfort of all guests, dogs who experience extreme stress, including excessive drooling, persistent barking, snapping, or attempts to escape due to severe anxiety or separation distress, may not be a good fit for our group environment. A calm and balanced atmosphere is important for every dog in our care.

Safety & Care

* How do you handle emergencies?

Your dog's safety and well-being are always our top priority. During your dog's meet-and-greet, we collect important information including your preferred veterinarian, emergency contacts, and any known health concerns for special care needs.

With extensive experience caring for dogs and recognizing common health concerns, Whitney is able to respond quickly to minor issues and will always keep you informed about what is happening and the next steps being taken. If your dog experiences a serious or unexpected medical emergency, they will be taken to your veterinarian or the nearest emergency hospital for appropriate care.

* Will my dog be crated during their stay?

Yes. Each dog has their own dedicated crate for meals and overnight sleeping. This provides a safe, comfortable, and stress-free environment where every dog can eat peacefully and rest without interruptions.

Dogs do not share food, and separate feeding in their crate helps prevent food-related conflicts while ensuring your dog can enjoy their meal at their own pace. At bedtime, each dog sleeps in their own crate with a comfortable mat or dog bed so they can get the quality rest they need.

All boarding dogs sleep safely inside the home together in a calm, cozy environment while enjoying relaxing music, including opera and bedtime lullabies. Crates are also an important safety measure during times when doors are opened, helping prevent accidental escapes and keeping every guest secure.

* Do you accept puppies? Can my dog stay if they are not spayed or neutered?

Yes. We welcome puppies as young as 8 weeks old into our home-based dog boarding and daycare environment. Early socialization in a safe, supervised setting can help puppies build confidence, learn appropriate dog manners, and become comfortable around other dogs. Many puppies enjoy the benefits of positive social experiences and return home happy and ready for a good rest.

We also accept dogs who have not yet been spayed or neutered. Each dog is evaluated individually to ensure they are a good fit for our group environment. Dogs displaying excessive mounting, aggression towards other dogs, or repeated marking inside the home may not be able to participate.

For female dogs who have not yet been spayed, we typicality welcome them until their scheduled procedure, depending on their individual circumstances and behavior.
